"You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough"

Reporting from a completely different part of the country, Cornwall! A bit different from the stylish london blogs as yes, I'm out in the sticks. Making good use of my rural surroundings and of course the flea markets and charity shops. There isn't a shopping centre for miles, it may seem fickle but I'm a 21 year old fashion events student... despite how trashy it is I am missing Primark!! Ok so after my rant....

I wan to share something with the internet family not only my idea of style but the fashion and art events that events i work on. I study creative events management (degree level) It is fairly new to university courses and if you don't know what it is then [Click Here]
I am lucky enough to be able to work on events in the area and lots of other cool events! Its so much fun behind the scenes, hard work, months of preps and meetings, let alone working with awkward fashion designers ( even tho they are awesome) and best of all designing events.

My blog will be filled with pictures from the events, and my ideas and i just would love feed back from you. So heres my first event that i worked on, although not fashion based it was extremely beautifully.

The Opening Of the Performance Centre

This is how we have been told to write when talking thru an event ( it will be rubbish but its my first go!)

Set on the campus of the local university, in a large function room below ground level. A red carpet lined the floor, met by pruned lemon trees. Big round tables, draped in silk cloths, the finest cutlery and china was set to place, finished by the decorative candles and fantastic flower arrangements. Each seating place was blessed but a small silver card with the attendees name on it, as as seated the 5 piece string quartet started to play. Starters, main course, desert and coffee are served by waiters in black, the wine flowed all evening. The speakers attend to the lit stage, a thank you to all the supporters and sponsors of the performance centre.

The photo's aren't very clear as i took them on my i phone, hope they aren't too bad.

I am working on a big fashion event which starts in May, and its going to be amazing! So i will be posting more interesting events i promise! Outfit post tomorrow...
Love to all

  3. Working on all sorts of events always looked very appealing to me... It's probably the fact that you can really start from scratch and then see it evolve into something big and meaningful and into somethign that affects a lot of people and hopefully brings them lots of joy. Love your header image, btw! Oh, and the title of this post too :)
